Cracking Opportunity

Purchasers have snapped up a third of the 36 one, two and three bedroom apartments within the first month of sale at our Coalhill 2 development, it is expected that the remainder will be snapped up quickly.

The apartments, many of which boast stunning views over the Water of Leith, are grouped around a secure, private courtyard and benefit from a designated underground car parking space with lift access to all floors. Most properties feature a private terrace with chic interiors throughout.

Ideally located for a wealth of amenities including top restaurants, smart bars and the Ocean Terminal Shopping Centre, the development will place homeowners at the hub of the lively, cosmopolitan Leith scene.

Selling At Schaw

When Premier Burrell prepared to sell its prestigious Schaw House apartments, the search began for an agent with local expertise and a passion for historic buildings.

Having worked for Savills for over three years, Bearsden local, Romina Verrecchia, was the perfect choice. No stranger to marketing individual properties, her enthusiasm for old buildings which have been painstakingly restored to their former glory saw her snap up the opportunity without hesitation.

Romina said: “Schaw House is an absolute delight to sell. It is not very often that people have the opportunity to purchase part of a stunning Tudor Gothic building dating back to the 19th century.

“The Schaw House development is located in Old Bearsden and is in close proximity to a fantastic selection of shops, cafés and bars. The area is thriving yet peaceful making it a perfect location for young professionals, families or retirees looking to downsize.”

Brewery Binge

Buredi, a joint venture between The Burrell Company and EDI Group, has begun work on an £80m mixed use development on Scottish & Newcastle’s former brewery site, by the Union Canal in Fountainbridge.

John Mark Di Ciacca, Director of Development at EDI, added: “Similar to the transformation of Leith, spearheaded by our Coalhill development, the Fountainbridge project will see a former industrial area in Edinburgh’s West End converted into a thriving community on the canal side.

“We look forward to delivering our part of this stunning, new urban village. It’s very well located, next to the commercial and transport hubs of the Exchange District and the Haymarket, and a short walk from the city centre. We’re confident that combining both residential and commercial properties in this popular area will be a huge hit with people looking to live in a vibrant new quarter.”
