Scotland's leading regeneration specialist, The Burrell Company, has formed a new construction arm to its business.

The Burrell Company (Construction) Limited, will take on construction management responsibility for forthcoming developments at Hawkhead Village in Paisley; Assembly Street in Leith and Ardnablane House in Dunblane.

The new company will allow greater flexibility and control of selected projects.

Lindsay Russell, Contracts Director of The Burrell Company, said: "We have taken time to select an experienced team to manage this new and exciting addition to our business.

"Taking this step will allow us to fully control every aspect of the construction process, with greater control and flexibility being the major benefits.

The Burrell Company's Managing Director, Andrew Burrell, adds: "Our business portfolio is continually growing and due to the fact a great number of our projects are refurbishments, it is becoming increasingly difficult to get construction companies to come on board at an early stage."

"I feel that forming a dedicated in-house contracting team is the right move for a number of our forthcoming developments."

The new construction team will be headed up by Lindsay Russell with Gordon Nicholls as Construction Manager and will be based in the recently acquired offices at Park Circus, Glasgow.

The Burrell Company celebrated 25 years of successful property development last year and has earned a highly respected reputation in Scotland for their dedication to urban regeneration and the restoration of Listed buildings.

High profile projects over the last quarter of a century include Edinburgh's Parliament Square, Glasgow's Piping Centre and former hospital, Schaw House in Bearsden, Glasgow. Current and forthcoming developments include the award-winning Coalhill 1 & 2 in Leith and Vienna Apartments, a conversion of one of Glasgow's warehouses on Mitchell Street.
