Eager housebuyers will get their first chance to snap up properties at the hugely anticipated Hawkhead Village development in Paisley when it launches from 10am on Saturday 27th October, 2007.
The ambitious residential project will see both Kier Homes and The Burrell Company, transform the important historical 1930s former hospital and grounds, designed by world famous architect Thomas Smith Tait, carefully restored and regenerated to provide a total of 326 properties. The new development will beautifully combine the old with the new providing a mix of converted and new-build apartments, detached homes, cottages, townhouses and duplexes, set within stunning landscaped grounds.
Prospective buyers will get the chance to take a closer look at the plans for the development by visiting the impressive, stylishly designed Marketing Suite located on site. It will provide information and brochures with future plans to include fly-through CGI videos and a model of the development.
Sharon Spinelli, Sales and Marketing Manager, Kier Homes West Scotland, said: "Hawkhead Village offers the perfect place for housebuyers looking to purchase unique, beautifully designed homes in a prime location and within close proximity to Glasgow city centre.

"I'm excited to be involved in reawakening one of Paisley's major landmarks, helping bring it back to life for future generations to enjoy and take pride in. Over 1000 people have registered interest in the development and I'm confident prospective purchasers will be impressed with the overall plans for the development when visiting our sales centre."
Thomas Smith Tait was a stalwart of Scottish interwar architecture, with a portfolio including the Daily Telegraph building in London, the pylons on Sydney Harbour Bridge and St Andrews House in Edinburgh.
Since its beginnings in 1936, Hawkhead Hospital has remained part of a historically and culturally significant group of buildings designed by the acclaimed architect and has also held strong links to the local Paisley community.
Linda Neill, Sales Manager at The Burrell Company said: "This is one of the most exciting projects I've had the privilege to work on. Built over 70 years ago by one of Scotland's most prestigious architects, Hawkhead Hospital is and will remain a fundamental part of Paisley's identity and past.
"We are looking forward to restoring the fabulous Listed and art deco buildings on the prestigious site bringing a fantastic set of properties with lots of style, charm and individuality in an increasingly popular location. More importantly, we'll be able to rejuvenate this fantastic site which has lain forgotten and in a poor condition for too long."
Since the Hawkhead Hospital buildings became surplus to requirements they have fallen into a state of disrepair. Those which can be restored will be converted by The Burrell Company into 131 highly individual homes, while Kier Homes will demonstrate its expertise by using the surrounding land to build 195 contemporary new build properties.
Nestled in a pleasant community and boasting both classic and contemporary properties, the integrated development will showcase the best of what each company has to offer.
Kier Homes has been building quality homes in some of Scotland's most prestigious locations since 1998. Highly regarded in the industry, Kier Homes offers quality and design to a high specification across its entire range of new homes from luxury apartments to two, three and four bedroom family homes to five bedroom detached executive homes.
The Burrell Company, Scotland's leading regeneration specialist, has been renovating and converting old properties into contemporary living spaces since 1985. Great examples the company has worked on include the spectacular Schaw House in Bearsden, Drumsheugh Gardens in Edinburgh and Elmhill House in Aberdeen.
The Holmes Partnership architects have masterplanned the redevelopment of Hawkhead Hospital and also designed the array of new build homes for the development. Whilst Elder & Cannon Architects of Glasgow will undertake the mammoth task of redesigning the rundown hospital into luxury homes.
The development is located on Hawkhead Road, Paisley. The first properties by Kier Homes will be released at the launch on Saturday 27th October at 10am. The marketing suite will open daily from 10am-5pm. The Burrell Company will release its first phase of homes in the coming months - please contact them for further information.
