Eager housebuyers will get their first chance to snap up properties at the hugely anticipated Hawkhead Village development in Paisley when it launches from 10am on Saturday 27th October, 2007.

The ambitious residential project will see both Kier Homes and The Burrell Company, transform the important historical 1930s former hospital and grounds, designed by world famous architect Thomas Smith Tait, carefully restored and regenerated to provide a total of 326 properties. The new development will beautifully combine the old with the new providing a mix of converted and new-build apartments, detached homes, cottages, townhouses and duplexes, set within stunning landscaped grounds.

Prospective buyers will get the chance to take a closer look at the plans for the development by visiting the impressive, stylishly designed Marketing Suite located on site. It will provide information and brochures with future plans to include fly-through CGI videos and a model of the development.

Thomas Smith Tait was a stalwart of Scottish interwar architecture, with a portfolio including the Daily Telegraph building in London, the pylons on Sydney Harbour Bridge and St Andrews House in Edinburgh.

Since its beginnings in 1936, Hawkhead Hospital has remained part of a historically and culturally significant group of buildings designed by the acclaimed architect and has also held strong links to the local Paisley community.
