This weekend presents the last chance for the public to view a three-part exhibition celebrating the changes in Granton and Edinburgh's Waterfront, before it vacates its current location at Upper Strand.
Since its unveiling in July by Councillor Elizabeth Maginnis, the Granton Old and New exhibition, which was collated by Upper Strand Developments Ltd, has been observed by hundreds of visitors.
Upper Strand Developments Ltd worked with various organisations and historians, including local historian group the Pilton Elderly Project, for over a year in preparing the exhibition. Featuring three distinct segments, the exhibition focuses on the past 500 years of Granton, the major transformations taking place in and around Granton at present and a look to what the future holds for the area.
Andrew Burrell, Managing Director of The Burrell Company, said: "With the ongoing regeneration of Edinburgh's Waterfront, Granton is set to become a highly desired, cosmopolitan community attracting househunters in their droves. This exhibition was a fantastic way of displaying Granton's proud history and for visitors to visualise the dramatic changes that will be made in the area."
Colin Rae, Development Director in Scotland for The Places for People Group, said: "I would urge everyone to grab this last chance to view the Granton Old and New exhibition for a fantastic insight into the colourful past and promising future of one of Edinburgh's oldest communities."
Visitors are invited to view the exhibition at Upper Strand's Research and Development Marketing Centre, Waterfront Avenue, until Sunday 22nd October. The centre is open daily from 10am until 5.30pm.
