Coalhill 2 will complement and build on the success of the initial widely acclaimed development, which received ŒThe Britannia Best Apartment of the Year in the UK‚ and The Britannia Building of the Year‚ awards in 2001.

The architectural style of phase one will continue, with design by Allan Murray Architects, winners of the international architectural competition for the development, which features a distinctive oval shape. Coalhill 2 will provide a total of 39 apartments overlooking the water of Leith, grouped around a private courtyard which is accessible from Parliament Street. The apartments are built over a deck of secure car parking with lift access to all floors.

The light and spacious apartments will also offer access to a wealth of local amenities, including hotels, bars, restaurants, tourist attractions and Ocean Terminal shopping centre.

The area will also benefit from the investment that will be made in a landscaped play facility for open access.

Located on the site of the original Scottish Parliament, Coalhill has played a major part in the regeneration of The Shore area of Leith and helped boost property prices in the area.

Work is due to begin in the Summer of this year. It is anticipated properties will be released for sale early in 2006, however a few apartments are being released for sale 'off plan' and at discounted prices.
